Governments take part of household incomes in the form of taxes, but they also inject money back into households in the form of wages. Some of that money goes back to the government in the form of taxes

Not really sure which Government you are asking about. Generally speaking Governments are not a business and do not operate to make a profit. Governments usually spend money that is collected on their behalf of the citizens they govern in the form of taxes. The more citizens under the governments reign... and the higher the tax base will dictate how much money is at the disposal of any government. In other words more people and higher the taxes means more money that come to the governments hands.

I'm not sure what you mean here. If you're talking about government revenues collected from players, arenas, etc,in the form of taxes, it's impossible to say. Obviously, both the Federal government and applicable Provincial governments collect income tax and sales taxes on what players buy. I also understand municipal governments collect property taxes on arenas in their cities.
The singular form of the noun taxes is tax.
No, "rose" is not the plural form of "raise." In English, "raises" is the plural form of "raise." "Rose" is the past tense of the verb "rise."
The verb form of rise is raise. As in "to raise something"
