Fertilization
Fertilization occurs when a male cell, usually a pollen grain, joins with a female cell, usually an ovule, in the carpel of a flower. This process leads to the formation of a zygote, which develops into a seed.
Fertilization is the joining of egg cell and sperm. It typically happens in the fallopian tubes.
gender changer
All human cells contain the same genetic information and do not have a sex. However, in sexual reproduction, there are sperm cells (male) and egg cells (female) that combine to create a new individual with a unique genetic makeup.
In humans a male reproductive cell is the sperm, while the female reproductive cell is the egg.
Pollination is the transfer of pollen from the male reproductive organ to the female reproductive organ of plants, while fertilization is the fusion of the male and female gametes to form a zygote. Pollination is necessary for fertilization to occur in flowering plants, as it brings the male gametes (pollen) to the female gametes (ovule).
The opposite of male germ cell is female germ cell.
In sexual reproduction, a sperm cell from a male individual joins with an egg cell from a female individual to form a zygote. The zygote then develops into a new organism.
