Car will take a "sharp" right turn
its under the skid protector on the right side. in front of the oil pan
under the front part of the skid plate. Wrong^^, The oil FILTER is on the right side of the motor to the right of your clutch cover with 3 bolts, 2, 8mm bolts and a hex head bolt.
You turn your front wheels into the skid to regain steering.
During a front wheel skid, the vehicle loses traction and the front wheels slide sideways. This is unique compared to a rear wheel skid, where the back of the vehicle slides sideways. In a front wheel skid, the driver may lose control of steering, making it harder to regain control of the vehicle.
The oil filter is on the side of the engine closest to the front of the car. there is a hole on the front skid plate to reach the filter through.
When the skid happens you will naturally turn your head to look where the car is going, The direction you are looking is the direction of the skid, you are looking to the right, it is a right hand skid.
Take your foot off of the accelerator but do NOT touch the brake. Steer INTO the direction of the skid. If your rear end is breaking right, steer right. The idea here is to keep the front ahead of the rear. As the vehicle slows you will feel the tires begin to grip the road. When this happens gently apply pressure to the brakes to slow or stop the car. Be very careful not to apply enough pressure lock the brakes. This could put you right back into the skid. Also, when steering into the skid, do so gently. Many people have actually recovered from a skid only to be thrown into a skid in the opposite direction due to overcompensation.
You will need to pull off the plastic skid plate underneath of the car. It is located on the drivers side from the under side of engine toward the front.
If it is the rear one, Then you have to remove the rear end plate to drain it. The front has a drain plug just above the skid plate, on the right bottom side. and a fill plug above the drain plug.
It is located on the near the bottom-front of the engine, on the left (passenger) side just behind the skid plate.
To regain control during a skid, first remain calm and avoid slamming on the brakes. Instead, steer in the direction you want the front of the vehicle to go, which is often referred to as “steering into the skid.” If the rear of the vehicle is skidding to the right, for example, turn the steering wheel to the right. Once you feel the wheels regain traction, gradually straighten the steering wheel and continue to drive cautiously.
If your vehicle begins to skid, you should turn the steering wheel in the direction you want the front of the vehicle to go. This means if the rear of your vehicle is sliding to the right, you should steer right. Conversely, if it's sliding to the left, you should steer left. Additionally, it's important to avoid slamming on the brakes, as this can worsen the skid.
