No he didnt sing it but Pat Boone made it famous
The title is "When the swallows come back to Capistrano." It was the biggest hit song of 1939. Glenn Miller may have recorded it first, but the Ink Spots made a big hit with it. San Juan Capistrano in Orange County, California is one of the 21 Franciscan missions built in California 200 years ago. Legend has it that the swallows always come back from South America on March 19, the feast of St. Joseph.

They leave and go 6,000 miles to Argentina. They return every year to the mission and to the town where they are loved and protected. Many people come to see the miracle of the swallows.
They migrate from Argentina taking flight for 30 days and over 7,700 miles to San Juan Capistrano with an arrival date of march 19th. They fly in like clock work n' build their nest of mid. I believe their departure date is October 23rd back the other direction.
