Technically yes since they were with the Allies who were not only against the Japanese but also the Germans (Nazis). Specifically no since their beef was with Japan.

No we didn't. We declared war on Japan the day after they attacked Pearl Harbor and Hitler declared war on the U.S. 3 days after that. No one knows why he declared war on the U.S. though. -Azumith Smith
