The gas pressure in the flask is lower than the atmospheric pressure when the water level is higher inside than outside the flask.

atmospheric
as you move up from sea level, the atmospheric pressure decreases. At higher elevations, theres less air above you so therefor less air pressure. When the air pressure outside your body decreases, the air pressure inside also decreases (slowly).
On a windy day atmospheric pressure decreases because the higher the wind velocity, the lower the air pressure, or atmospheric pressure. This is how chimneys work, the air that moves above the chimney causes low air pressure because of the high wind velocity compared the velocity of the air inside a house. The air inside the house goes towards the low air pressure and takes the smoke with it.
We do not feel the earths atmospheric pressure because it is the same everywhere all round us. The body can only really feel pressure differences. Try this, put your finger in your mouth and suck. Your finger and indeed the inside of you mouth will feel the pressure difference you create. Also sometimes if you go up in a lift or are in a car, bus or plane that goes up or down, you may feel pressure changes in your ears. This is because the pressure in your middle ear takes time to equalize with the atmospheric pressure changes caused as you go up and down in altitude.
The act of inhaling is to create low pressure in the lungs, causing the air in the atmosphere to rush in as it is moving from a higher pressure (outside in the atmosphere) to the lower pressure (created in the lungs). However the fact that air does move into the lungs means that there is no net change in pressure.
Yes
A pressure difference is created, low pressure on the inside and higher pressure on the outside (the atmospheric pressure). The atmospheric pressure crushes the plastic container, acting on the outer plastic walls.
atmospheric
A can or container can stay rigid due to equal pressure from the inside and the outside. When the atmospheric pressure from the outside increases mote than the pressure pushing out from the inside, the material gets crushed.
Suck the air out of a container and watch it being crushed. Look at a balloon. Its round shape tells you that the pressure (atmospheric) from outside acts equally from all directions. Now take that balloon up a mountain and watch the balloon get bigger. There is less atmospheric pressure acting on the outside of the balloon the higher you go so the pressure inside the balloon makes the balloon bigger.
Think about this: if the pressure WERE equal, what would happen in the instant when you open the neck of the balloon and whatever pressure is on the inside meets the pressure that is on the outside (atmospheric pressure)? In your experience, what DOES happen?
There is no difference of the average local air pressure inside or outside of the headphone.

Air that is held inside one of several types of special containers at a decreased volume is known as compressed air. For the air to be compressed, its pressure inside the container must be at a higher pressure than that of the atmospheric air outside of it.
Inspiration happens when the pressure inside the lungs is lower than the atmospheric pressure (outside) and air rushes into the lungs. Expiration is when the air inside the lungs is higher than the atmospheric pressure and the air rushes out of the lungs. If the intrapleural pressure (pressure within the pleura of the lungs) isn't maintained then the pressure in the lungs can't differentiate between inspiration and expiration and so the lung collapses.
If inside and outside same pressure that means there is no pressure. The added pressure is what blows the tire up like a balloon and holds the weight of the car up.
The pressure inside will be the same as what the atmospheric pressure was when the lid was closed as long as no heat is added or removed.
