Swelling is very common post-operatively. If swelling persists 2-4 weeks after surgery visit your GP for a check up.
Rhinoplasty is a surgery for your nose. You will expect swelling after this surgery. You should not lift anything heavy, keep your head tilted high, and have a cool cloth on your forehead when sleeping.
It will depend upon the cause of swelling. If it is due to post operative clot in the veins -DVT, treatment will require elevation, compression stockings and anticoagulant therapy. If the swelling is due to cancer surgery with removal of the lymph nodes for clearance, and if patient has had radiotherapy, it causes damage to the lymphatic system and treatment will be elevation of legs, compression stockings. In both cases there may be residual permanent swelling in the leg.
It depends upon the cause. You would need to be more specific. Also, do consult with a physician. If you are noticing edema in the arms and feet you may have non-pitting edema. However, Edema can be caused by a multitude of diseases or complications from said diseases. Typically edema is present in people with Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) or people with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure). There are many more reasons that can cause swelling but as mentioned above it is always better to consult your doctor to have tests run.
Post = after (e.g., postpartum, post-surgery)
Some common complications would include decreasing vision, excessive pain, redness or swelling of or around the eye. The risk of post-operative complications is very small due to new surgical techniques.
Post-op.
post-surgery
I would try online. Many forms are online these days.
Potentially. Blod clots can move through the body. I would go get that checked by a physician. Immediately. Pain and Swelling 3 months post of a surgery is never good, especially if your knee is still painful. Check to make sure you didn't do anything to potentially rip, tear or break anything in your anlke though.
If you don't achieve full range of motion before your surgery, the rehab will be much harder post-surgery and it you might not regain full range of motion again. I've torn my acl twice and my surgeon really stressed that I get the swelling down before the surgery. Both times I did that and I never had a problem getting my full range of motion back after the surgery.
There is no special diet patients have to be on after Lasik surgery. You will need to use the prescription drops given to you by your surgeon post operative. You will need to follow-up with your doctor 24-48 hours after surgery and with your primary eye doctor after surgery.
I've had TFCC debridement on both my left and right wrists. The first surgery was on my left wrist about 5 years ago. From memory, I think it took around 12 months before I started to feel any benefit. Following the 12 month period I would have to say there is only a modest improvement in pain from the original injury. Since this time my left wrist has been bearable as long as I don't try push-ups or anything involving my plan being flat with weight over the top of the palm... Mt second surgery was on my right wrist approximately 12 months ago, unfortunately this time around I have not noticed any improvement with the pain in my right wrist, in fact I believe it is now more irritable and painful than it was post surgery. Hopefully things will improve, I had a hand surgeon with an excellent reputation perform the surgery on both occasions. As pain management I try to steer clear of pharmaceutical drugs (standard anti-inflammatory drugs).... I've used a Curcumin supplement which definitely feels as though it reduces the pain in my wrist.
