To make singular nouns to plural:
1. Add s to the end of the noun
Examples:
three red roses
five fingers
2. Add es to the nouns ending in ch, sh, s, or x
torches
rashes
grasses
foxes
you would use -es when a word ends in a -ch like rich or glitch you use the ending -es
You have to use es in a word when the second last letter is a vowel and if it is a consonant use s
You would use s and not es, but this is not the way to make the word plural. You would use apostrophe s to indicate possession. For example, the child's illness had the whole family worried. The plural of child is children.
