Human ears have an audible range usually between 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. If the frequency of sound vibrations produced goes beyond this range then it is known as Ultrasonics. Such vibrations are produced by animals and especially by bats. Only with these ultrasonics bats are able to fly even in the darkest places.

One more term Supersonics is there. This stands for the speed which exceeds the speed of sound in air. Usually speed of sound in air is 330 m/s at 273 K. If any jet goes with a speed 400 m/s then it is said to be supersonic jet.
