I believe that it mean an access way (doorknob) into a bitter, or sour area, or influence. for example, "Mr. Steinberg is a doorknob tied to a sour stick" this could mean that he is the access route (through him) to a bad, bitter attitude or anything else negative
Resistance is defined as a property of materials due to which a material opposes the flow of current through themselves. And Resistance is inversely proportional to area of cross section of conductor. As the cross section area of thin wire is less hence resistance is more. So, as wire diameter increases its resistance decreases and vice versa
energy form rubbing your feet on the carpet is acumulated "in" you, and the doorknob acts a ground. Once you touch the doorknob, the energy exits. It makes more sense if you think that you are the positive end of a circuit, and the energy goes through the circuit, and the spak can be thought of as an LED.
Air Resistance is the kinetic friction of the object's surface moving through the air. In aeronautical terms this is known as drag.
The resistance do obstruct the object. The object always travel slower with air resistance. Air resistance is higher with velocity and the object falling through air would have a limited velocity that it can't go through.
Current goes path of least resistance. But if u have two resistances in paralell only the majority will go through the smaller resistance some Porportional Amount will "flow" through the larger resistor. Depends on resistance sizes and voltage slap plied as to how much current
Energy is gradually lost, through air resistance, and resistance in the string.Energy is gradually lost, through air resistance, and resistance in the string.Energy is gradually lost, through air resistance, and resistance in the string.Energy is gradually lost, through air resistance, and resistance in the string.

Check the doorknob. A wooden door may not feel hot, even if the other side is burning (wood insulates). However, the metal doorknob, which goes all the way through the door, DOES conduct heat very well. If the doorknob is hot, so is the other side of the door.

Capillary beds are finely branched, have smaller diameters, have more inner surface area and therefore offer greater resistance to blood travelling through them than arteries do.
This is kind of sticky to explain. A flow of electrons is exactly like distance in geometry - the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Distance in wiring is increased resistance. In a circuit board 8 inches square, the fact that the wire has to make a bend has negligible effect on the resistance. In a spring reverb unit, the current is going through a tightly wound coil that is eight inches long - but actually represents about 30 inches of wire. That slows the current down to an extent because of the added resistance.
resistance occurs as the blood flows away from heart through the vessels in the peripheral systemic circulation a term known as peripheral resistance. Viscosity of the blood (thickness) ,vessel length (distance) and vessel diameter (blood vessel radius) are three factors
A "resistance" or "resistor".
Low resistance lets electrons through easy, and high makes it harder for them to pass. Basically electricity is harder to flow through high resistance and vice versa.
