Do you know of a book by Humphrey Shaw accountingfinance Any comments please?

Humphrey has written several books on the subject. I have read 4 of them. All are VERY seriously flawed; they contain thousands of errors. (Yes thousands, that is not exaggeration). I have reviews from professional accountants and others to confirm what I say. Most of Shaw's books were published by Elm publications; for many years a small private (sole trader) business operating from what look like outbuildings along a country lane in King's Ripton. I have elsewhere described Shaw's books as "hideous" and "grotesque". I stand by those words. It is clear he has very little knowledge of the subject. I am experienced university and college lecturer.

Where did US soldiers stay in UK during World War 2?

Most people stayed at home, unless, of course, they were actually bombed out of their homes. Some people moved out of London during the Blitz, preferring to commute to their work from the surrounding county areas.
