Repton Preparatory School was founded in 1940 in what is now the Cross boarding House in Repton, before moving to what is now Latham House in 1942.
Following significant growth, the Preparatory School moved to Foremarke Hall in 1967, where it has continued to flourish. The current Headmaster is Mr Richard Merriman.

Previously the girls school, Derham High School, was founded in 1905. The boy's school, Cretin, was founded in 1871. They merged into Cretin-Derham Hall in 1987 and still is today.
