They played under the name Sweet Children at Rod's Hickory Pit, a place where Billie's mom was a waitress. I think this was about 1987/1988, but of course they played at high schools and probably basements before that. They didn't have tre cool as their drummer until 92, so their drummer was a guy called John Kiffmeyer (was also in the band Isocracy).
