Kerinci Seblat National Park was created in 1999.
The Sumatran tiger is primarily found on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It inhabits various forested areas, including tropical rainforests, mangroves, and mountainous regions. Its range is primarily concentrated in the Bukit Barisan mountain range and several national parks, such as Kerinci Seblat National Park and Gunung Leuser National Park. Due to habitat loss and poaching, the Sumatran tiger is critically endangered.
