Kwikset was created in 1946.
An individual can find reviews for Kwikset locks in the special section on online merchant pages. One can also talk to people they know who have tried Kwikset locks.

You can easily fix a lose Kwikset door handle by taking the appropriate screwdriver and tightening the screws that attach the door handle to the door frame.
Contact Kwikset or call a locksmith. Maybe the former owner or real estate agent knows how to do it?
They make house keys for Schlage and Kwikset locks. If your home has one of those two brands of locks (or one of the hundreds of private-branded locks that use Kwikset-patterned keys) you can get spare keys there.
In my personal opinion as a locksmith, Schlage is a better lock. The common residential locks have 5 spaces, although some have 6. Both manufactures have each. Schlage has tighter tolerances between the cylinder and plug, and 10 depths as opposed to Kwikset with 6.
An electronic door lock from Kwikset may cost from $90 approximately, but the price is dependant on ones zip code and location within the United States of America. There are a number of stockists, such as Lowes, where one may view the looks and obtain an accurate price within their area.
There are 2 screws on the interior part of the doorknob they should be hand tight with a screwdriver and that should do it.
There are many manufacturers of locks. A few big companies known for making locks are Brinks, Sargent and Greenleaf, Kwikset, Schlage, and Master Lock.
I'd go with the big, well established names in the door hardware industry like Kwikset or Schlage. I usually trust them if they're helpful and have a lot of useful tips and advice for installation and choosing the right product. I lean towards Kwikset because they have a really good DIY section on their site (www.kwikset.com) which has tips on how to choose your door hardware and using the right tools for installation. Hope that helps!
I just tried it, and it does not work. The spacing on the Kiwkset latch was not the sames as the Schlage. I am buying a Schlage latch set now.
