To most angliphonic speakers, the Norwegian pronounciation of "Norge" sounds like:- NAHR-i-geh Think of the word "Florida" in terms of the stresses, syllables and timing. Replace the "Flo" part with "Nahr" (rhymes with 'car'). keep the "i" part the same. Replace the "da" part with "geh" So "NAHR-i-geh" = Norge. ............. Nor(i)ge(h) Last thing to be aware of; The 'g' is quite soft. On it's way to being a 'y'. So it's somewhere in between "NAHR-i-geh" and "NAHR-i-yeh". PS..... The Swedes pronounce that 'g' as a 'y', so "Norge" in Swedish (spelled the same) is pronounced "NAHR-i-yeh".
The river Nahr el Litani is located in Lebanon. It is the longest river in Lebanon at 90 miles and was dammed at Qaraaoun to provide irrigation and electricity.
The phrase 'renard arctique' is pronounced as follows: reh-nahr ahrk-teek; or reh-nahr ahr-teek. But that's French spoken carefully. French speakers tend to drop unessential syllables in conversation. And chances are that 'renard arctique' will sound more like reh-nahr-teek.
This is more of a little topography with reasoning of how it helps Lebanon and how it's used: Lebanon has many plains, where farmers plant. Heavy downpour in Mount Lebanon of winter rains has formed many deep clefts and valleys in the soft rock. The terrain has profoundly affected the country's history. East of the Mount Lebanon Range is the Bekaa Valley, an extremely fertile flatland where farmers have learned that the soil is fertile and that the plants could grow large with flat land and lots of space to grow in. Lebanon contains few rivers, and its harbors are mostly shallow and small. Abundant springs, found to a height of 1,500 m (4,900 ft) on the western slopes of the Lebanon Mountains, provide water for cultivation up to this height. Such rivers as Nahr Abou Ali, Nahr Ibrahim, Nahr el Kelb, Nahr Beirut, Nahr ed Dam our, etc. flow into Mediterranean, forming deep ravines. The coastal plain along the Mediterranean is narrow, and is found only around such cities as Tripoli, Beirut, Saida, Tyre, etc.
