Magpul Industries was created in 1999.
The Remington / Bushmaster ACR was originally developed by Magpul Industries under the monniker 'Masada'. However, Magpul did not have the production facilities required to bring the firearm to market; the design was then sold to The Freedom Group which owns Remington, Bushmaster, and other firearms companies.
Travis Haley left Magpul Industries primarily to pursue his own ventures and focus on developing his brand, Haley Strategic Partners. His departure was also influenced by a desire for greater creative freedom and the opportunity to innovate in the tactical training and gear development space. Haley sought to expand his influence and expertise beyond Magpul, allowing him to explore new projects and initiatives aligned with his vision.
