Satin Bowerbird (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus)
Hi im kinda new at this but i have an oil beetle that i found in the woods and i think the scientific name for it and its Meloe coarctatus
There is an African species of trogon called the Narina Trogon. The scientific name is Apaloderma narina. Another species of trogon is the Violaceous Trogon from the Neotropical region, Trogon violaceus. And, of course, quetzals are trogons too. The Resplendent Quetzal is Pharomachrus moccino.
There are several birds in Australia which have plumage that is purple-blue, or indigo, in colour. The purple Swamphen (Porphyrio Porphyrio) is a member of the rail family, and certainly purple-blue in colour. The Satin bowerbird (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus) has a deep indigo sheen to its feathers.
Predators of the Portuguese Man O' War (Physalia Physalis) include, the leather back turtle (Dermochelys Coriacea), the loggerhead turtle (Caretta Carette) and the Pacific crab (Emerita Pacifica). Some small fish also feed on the polyps and Blanket octopi (Tremoctopus violaceus)have been known to tear off tentacles and use them for their own defensive purposes.
The reason Meloetta isn't included in the Pokémon handbook is because Meloetta had been an unrevealed Pokémon for most of the 5th Generation. Meloetta was only recently revealed earlier this year (of 2012) and is currently being distributed in a Japanese-language game-only Pokémon event distribution in which you have to reside in Japan in order to receive the actual download of it. Meloetta will likely be included in the next Pokémon handbook provided another one is made and is released.
