Mobilicity was created in 2009.
-- YES, Monilicity and T-Mobile are same 1700 and 2100Mhz. No, you can't, Mobilicity uses HSPDA AWS (iPhone doesn't support AWS as of right now). The only reason we can use an iPhone on T-Mobile is if we turn off 3G (falls back onto 2G). Mobilicity being a brand new provider, they didn't bother with 2G and simply went with 3G. Until Apple comes out with an AWS friendly iPhone you are out of luck. (This would work for Wind & Mobilicity).
yes, it's AWS 1700/2100 band
Huwei modems can be unlocked based on the IMEI of the device. This IMEI is a 15 digit unique number. Based on this IMEI the unlock code can be calculated.
It depends on the Company.......for instance Mobilicity uses AWS in the ranges of 1700/2100. While Bell Canada uses different technology and different ranges.
There are some of the Mobile Wireless Companies across Canada that provide this service, but providing Mobile Service to Ottawa there is only Mobilicity.
There are several companies that offer good cell phone plans in Canada. Examples would include Telus Mobility, Fido, Wind Mobile, Mobilicity, and Speak Out Wireless.
You cant at the moment. Mobilicity reps said that they cant do anything about it. HTC is not aware of the problem, and they said it is the networks issue, and it has to be taken care of by the carrier. Either learn to cope with it, or get a new phone.
There are great newcomer companies that have no contract sell phone plans. It also depends on your location, but in Canada, Windmobile and Mobilicity are offer great prices for no contract. $29 from Wind can get you unlimited data, talk AND text.
I prefere public mobile, because plans that they have are the best, i use unlimited text and calls for 35$ a month, and plus they always have some promotions. I had rogers and bell before that one, but i think this one is the best.
Good eals on cellular phones depend on each individuals needs. Mobilicity is currently offering a $25 unlimited talk and text plan for its customers, as of May 2013. A similar plan from rogers would cost over $50.
