Mumtaz Jahan Begum Dehlavi was known as Mahubala in the Hindi films.
Fourteen children were born to Mumtaz Mahal, but only four sons and three daughters survived. They were: Jahan-Ara Begum, Dara Shikoh, Shah Shuja, Roshan-Ara Begum, Aurangzeb, Murad Bakhsh and Gauhar Ara Begum.
Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal's eldest daughter was Begum Jahan Ara. Shah Jahan was very fond of her. She was given the titles of Padshah Begum and Begum Sahib.
