Mangalur mallige buds are longer compared to Udupi mallige. 2. Mangalur mallige is more expensive than Udupi mallige. 3. Mangalur mallige is more fragrant than Udupi mallige. 4. You can also differentiate by the way they are stacked while selling, Udupi mallige is usually sold in atte which has 4 chendu ( nine inch long strip folded in six layers) whereas mangalur mallige is sold in terms of saack ( 12 rounds).
