The 1955 Belmont Stakes was won by Nashua, a prominent Thoroughbred racehorse. Nashua, trained by Horace A. "Jimmy" Jones, secured his victory in the third leg of the Triple Crown, following his wins in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes earlier that year. He is remembered as one of the great racehorses of his time.
