Oldsmobile was founded by a man name Ransom E. Olds. in 1897 the car name lived on for 106 years but GM (General Motors) did not make enough money from it (They say) i say any car that has been aroud for over 100 years is ok. and there was a song named "In My Merry OLDSMOBILE" in 1904 and recored in 1905 the 1st Oldsmobile car was the Oldsmobile Curved Dash in 1904 but Oldsmobile was founded in 1897. The name was great the car was great and Oldsmobile will always be my favort car!
I hope this helped.
