Oncor Electric Delivery's population is 3,400.
The oncor company offers many different services. Oncor is an electric service company that offers electricity services to residential and business places.
Today, as a result of the merger in 2007 by which TXU (now Energy Future Holdings Corp. or EFH) was acquired by private investors, Oncor is operated as a separatecompanyand is "ring-fenced" from its majority investor EFH and its main operating subsidiaries, Luminant and TXU Energy.
No! But they are doing it anyway. Oncor has NO CONTRACTS with any of us, but they will go on properties, vandalize your analog meter if you have one or if you even bought it, trespass, threaten you at your door, and even bring escort with them to take you away if you refuse..........this is what it has come to unfortunately.
Not it's not. In fact you have a choice of electricity service provider. But, be aware... some charge for using too much/too little electricity. While others will charge you to talk to them on the phone or, pay your bill online.
My husband, my 2 year old son and I just got done eating Oncor BBQ ribs that had a broken box and seal...but I am pretty sure we were the ones who broke it and it was microwaved for 15 minutes so any bacteria etc would have been fried :)
The ESI ID is a number used by the various utility companies to indicate the location of your meter. This term is used only in the state of Texas (as far as I know) When you change your retail electricity provider, then the company that is sending the bills is responsible for providing service to that meter. For example 10178990008476182 "17899" identifies the electrical power area ie(ONCOR, Centerpoint, etc.) to your provider "8476182" is number assigned to the address that is being served.
In short, it might not be possible to. The key would be to contact who the electric provider is to the address. With energy being deregulated, so while I can use Ambit energy while my next door neighbor might use Reliant, the key to this would be our key energy provider, which for me is Oncor. If both of us have a power outage, it's Oncor we have to call, not our respective power companies. If you know the who the power provider is to a particular address, they might provide you with the information you require. But if you don't own the address in question, there's a good chance they won't provide you with anything. Buying a potential property might open a door for you to this information, but possibly not. After all, technically energy usage is private. Maybe you want energy usage reports on my neighbor that has a regular thermostat and keeps his temperature on 70 degrees year-round...or maybe you want my info and I use a programmable thermostat so my usage is far different, plus I have energy efficent upgrades he doesn't. See what I mean? Bottom line is to contact the energy provider. There's a good chance there's a smart meter involved (in a metro area) in TX so your odds are 50/50.
