In Greek mythology, Demeter did not have a romantic relationship with Hades. However, she did confront him when he abducted her daughter Persephone to the Underworld, which ultimately led to a compromise that allowed Persephone to split her time between the Underworld and the surface world.

Which greek goddess was ruler of under world?

Hades was the Greek God of the Underworld. He took Persephone (daughter of Demeter) as his wife (not by choice). So even though there technically isn't a goddess to rule the underworld, if you had to say there was one it would be Persephone.

What myth is hades associated with?

The most popular is in which Hades asks Zeus for Persephone's hand in marriage and is granted it, while Demeter does not know and when Persephone is taken he offers her the pomegranate to eat in the Underworld. Which she does, thus she can't leave the Underworld save for part of the year. Demeter has been searching for her daughter, and finds out where Persephone is, and demands her return; when Zeus and Hades argue that Persephone must stay in the Underworld for a portion of time; Demeter lets the world feel her wraith in the first winter.

What was some of minor god Persephone's uniqueness?

She was the Greek's explanation for seasons. She was taken by Hades to his realm of the underworld, and Hades tried enticing her to become his wife. However, her mother, Demeter, asked Zeus to intervene. Zeus agreed to command Hades to return Persephone; on the condition that she had eaten nothing of the Underworld. Demeter received her daughter back, only to find that Persephone had eaten Pomogranite seeds in the Underworld. Zeus negotiated a compromise between Hades and Demeter. Persephone was to become Hades' wife, but she was allowed a half of the year with her mother, Demeter. So, she was to spend 6 months in the Underworld and 6 months on the surface of the earth. The seasons thing comes in at this point. Demeter becomes lonely and sad when at her daughter's annual leave and causes the natural world to lie dormant. Fall and Winter. When Persephone returns, Demeter rejoices and the plant begin to grow again. Spring and Summer. In the Underworld, Persephone was thought to influence Hades' judgement of the dead.

Who is the greek goddess who lives under hell?

Persephone, the unwilling bride of Hades. (I'm assuming that's who you are asking about). She is the daughter of the Nature Goddess Demeter. One of my favorite Greek stories is the one on Persephone! Persephone was out in a field picking flowers in a field (Note, quick fact, a maiden picking flowers in a field is a sure sign of trouble in Greek Mythology). Hades saw her and her beauty, and reached up to grab her. He succeeded, and took her down to the underworld as his bride. Demeter searched the world for her lost daughter, and, in her grief, forgot to give Mankind the power of nature. all the crops died, and the human race was dieing. The other gods ordered Hades to give up Persephone, but Hades had other ideas. He offered Persephone a pomegranate, (a fruit), and she ate six seeds of it. This "gift" was actually a trick. Once you have eaten food of the underworld, you are not allowed to leave. But, (because Persephone was a goddess) and (because Demeter would have continued grieving) the gods made a deal. Persephone must remain with hades for six months of the year, one month for each seed she ate. This is supposedly the reason why we have summer and winter, because, when Persephone is with her mother, there is happiness and joy and warmth, and crops grow, giving us summer. But when Persephone returns to the underworld, to hades, Demeter weeps and grieves again, and all turns cold and sad, thus giving us fall and winter.
