The SS Kaiser Wilhelm II was a steamer which sailed for North German Lloyd from 1889-1908. It was renamed the SS Hohenzollern in 1900.The second ship was also named the SS Kaiser Wilhelm II and also sailed for North German Lloyd from 1903 until it was seized by the United States in 1917 when the U.S. declared war on Germany and turned into a troop transport. Her name was changed to the USS Agamemnon in September 1917. She was mothballed in the mid 1920's and renamed again as the Monticello and was finally scrapped in 1940 to support the WWII war effort.
