The Telesis Tower is a 500-foot (152m) office skyscraper with 38 floors, located in San Francisco's Financial District at 120 Kearny Street (1 Montgomery Street). It was completed in 1982. It is also called the Pacific Telesis Tower, the Pacific Telesis Center, and the Post-Montgomery Center.

The Tower of the Americas in San Antonio was completed in 1968. It was built for the World's Fair, known as Hemisfair '68, which celebrated the city's 250th anniversary. Standing at 750 feet tall, it served as both an observation tower and a symbol of San Antonio's growth and development.

San Francisco's Coit Tower was built in the memory of Lillie Hitchcock Coit, the city's honorary matron saint of firefighters. She had left 1/3 of her estate "to be expended in an appropriate manner for the purpose of adding to the beauty of the city which I have always loved."

Coit Tower was built on top of San Francisco's Telegraph Hill in 1933 with money donated by Lillie Hitchcock Coit. She had a longtime love of firemen and the heroic job they do. If you see a picture of Coit Tower, you will notice that it is shaped like a firehose nozzle.
