Baptist believe in the security of the believer and that you cannot loose your salvation, the Nazarene Church teaches that you can loose your salvation. Baptists only baptist those who have verbally accepted Jesus as their personnel savior. Nazarenes baptize infants. These are the two main differences, but these 2 things are huge.
Baptists do not have any official set of rules. One of the main aspects of the Baptist faith is that each church is autonomous. The church's rules and guidelines can be set by the pastor, deacons, and/or church body as a whole. This decision to allow autonomy was one of the biggest reasons for the initial split from Catholicism, which early Baptists and Anabaptists believed was not using the Bible to lead the church.

The main religion of the American South is clearly Christianity, of various denominations. The Protestant denominations taken together are clearly a majority in both the South and the country as a whole. Of all denominations, Baptists are clearly dominant in most Southern states; all if you don't count Texas and Florida (and many people don't.) There are many Baptist organizations, but Southern Baptist is the most common (and also the largest denomination in the country.) If the question means "south of the US" rather than the American South, then Roman Catholic Christianity is the clear main religion of Mexico and all of South and Central America. Also known as Catholic Church
