I think the sportsmaster on DC is bad so it's possible this sportsmaster could be bad sorry I didn't say yes or no but yea he's proboly bad I havent seen the movie myself but I'm sure he's bad since I watch batman and DC stuff not really a marvel fan
i have seen some go as high as 825.00
I would go to Numrich Gun Parts Corp.first in my search for parts.
Is it a sportsmaster .22?? If it is i can tell you.
gun shops, gun shows, want ads.
Many shotguns & .22 caliber rifles manufactured before 1968 did not have serial numbers. This would include your Rem. 512
If you mean a Remington 512 X Sportsmaster, no. It is for .22 Short, Long, Long rifle cartridges. The .22 magnum is longer, larger in diameter and more powerful.
They were made from 1940-1962, to figure out the month/year you need to look at the barrel code and look that up under the manufactured date on the Remington Society of America.
Apparently on placing the ball over the line after making his legendary run, William Webb Ellis asked his Sportsmaster: "Was it a goal?" The Sportsmaster replied: "No, but it was a good try." I read something different. It's called a "try" because when rugby was first played a touchdown was only worth one point and its real value to a team was to give them the the right to try to kick a goal (a conversion kick). This was worth three points. So people celebratied this chance to try to score a goal, winning the "try", not the mere one point touchdown itself.
Well, it would help to know which gun your model 512 is, but for now I will assume it is a Remington SportsMaster 512. The bolt stop may be worn, broken or dirty. Take it to a gunsmith for examination and repair as needed. Parts wear out.
