Sridhara is now believed to have lived in the ninth and tenth centuries. However, there has been much dispute over his date and in different works the dates of the life of Sridhara have been placed from the seventh century to the eleventh century. The best present estimate is that he wrote around 900 AD, a date which is deduced from seeing which other pieces of mathematics he was familiar with and also seeing which later mathematicians were familiar with his work. Some historians give Bengal as the place of his birth while other historians believe that Sridhara was born in southern India.Sridhara is known as the author of two mathematical treatises, namely the Trisatika (sometimes called the Patiganitasara ) and the Patiganita. However at least three other works have been attributed to him, namely the Bijaganita, Navasati, and Brhatpati. Information about these books was given the works of Bhaskara II (writing around 1150), Makkibhatta (writing in 1377), and Raghavabhatta (writing in 1493).
Sridhara (c. 870, India - c. 930 India) was an Indian mathematician. He was born in Hooghly district in the 10th Century AD. His father's name was Baladevacharya and mother's name was Acchoka.
Sridhara Acharya was a renowned Indian mathematician and astronomer from the 9th century, best known for his contributions to the field of algebra and for his work on solving quadratic equations. He authored the "Ganita Sara Sangraha," which systematically presented mathematical concepts and provided methods for calculations. Additionally, his contributions to astronomy included advancements in understanding planetary movements and eclipses, significantly impacting both fields in Indian mathematics and science. His work laid the groundwork for future scholars and mathematicians in India.
Srihari died on October 9, 2013, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India of liver alignment problems.
Being one of the first to give a formula for solving quadratic equations is one contribution Sridhara Acharya made to mathematics. He also gave an exposition on zero, wrote practical applications of algebra separated algebra from arithmetic, and found the method of multiplying a fraction by the reciprocal of the divisor when dividing a fraction.

A virtual channel defines a single point to point connection, identified by its virtual channel identifier (VCI). A virtual path however, is a bundle of virtual channels that share the same end-point. Hence, a virtual path can be considered as a container that contains several virtual channels. Each virtual path is identified by its unique virtual path identifier (VPI). sridhara................
