Yes they can! I buy clothes for my ratties at Mischeif Boutique.
YES! Rats love kale and it has a lot of vitamins that are good for little ratties.
Even though i do not own rats, i own mice soo... Yes it would be best to take one out at a time, for the same amount of time each. Have fun with your ratties
A fun toy for your ratties is take a toliet paper tube, put treats in it, and your rats will enjoy. This isn't a toy but if you get a friend for your rat it will be entertained even when you can't play with them. Rats are easily entertained so even a paper towel will give them lots of fun.

The brown wharf rat named Rattus norgegicus (Norwegian rat) ... aka: Wharf Rat, but the name is not proven to be correct as the rat did not originate in Norway, but came from Denmark (aboard ships during the 1700's.) This particular species of rats has spread to all many continents and is dominant in Europe and North America.
Baby rats start eating solid food at the age of 2 weeks old. They should be with their mother for 6 to 8 weeks. After that you MUST separate the males and females or they could mate, even though they are brother and sister.
Rats have a very strict diet, though unlike many other rodents, they can eat some human food. But their main diet consist of, pellets. You can only give them pellets designed for rats. They also need to eat veggies everyday. Fruits, maybe once or twice a week. Vegetables ratties can eat are, lettuce, carrots, broccoli and celery. Fruits they can eat, grapes, apples, plums, strawberries and blueberries. I have only mentioned a few examples. Hope this helped and good luck with your rat!
Just start out with any boxes! I'm making one for fun and using cardboard boxes that I had lying around the house. Cut holes/ shapes in the boxes for the rats to go in and out of, use paper towel tubes or toilet paper tubes for mazes, and use cut out pieces to make ramps and levels inside of the boxes for the rats to climb around on. Maybe put some chew toys inside of it, some hammocks if you have a clubhouse big enough, and just things that the ratties may enjoy! Good luck!
