Titagya Schools was created in 2008.
There was a 360 program this semester, Spring '12, titled "Learning and Narrating Childhoods" offered through Bryn Mawr College. As part of the program there was a culminating trip that entailed traveling to Dalun, Ghana and visiting the preschool/kindergarten that is set up there (Titagya School). There was also a teacher workshop that was hosted by Bryn Mawr in Dalun, where teachers from around traveled to and had the space to meet other teachers as well as discuss issues that they see prevalent, effective teaching strategies, etc. Bryn Mawr College is also to host director of Titagya, Habib, so that there is an equal exchange occurring and so that we may better learn from one another. Hopefully lots more benefits to come out of this relationship for both parties involved!
