Walkers is a Scottish company, established in 1898 by Joseph Walker in Aberlour. Today, Walkers shortbread is sold in more than 80 countries around the world.

There are several recipes that are similar to Walker's shortbread cookies because shortbread generally has much the same texture and recipe. Walkers will have more sugar and preservative than homemade but homemade can be made that is close in taste.
There is no gluten free products currently made by walkers. But i have heard they are thinking to start making some

Walker's Shortbread Co is owned by the Walker family in Scotland. It is not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church).
There are at least two reasons shortbread is called shortbread. One is shortbread requires a lot of shortening to make and the other is the term short refers to the texture of the final product.
