Emmylou Harris sang a duet with Tim Goodman on the song "Thing About You", which is a track off the 1985 debut album from the group Southern Pacific. Coincidentally, the band's 1986 release, Killbilly Hill, included a song titled "A Girl Like Emmylou", but did not include Emmylou Harris on vocals.
It was on the soundtrack album of the movie 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles'. Also released as a single '45 vinyl.
Gram Parsons's song "She" is not specifically about Emmylou Harris. However, Harris did provide backing vocals on the song for Parsons' album "Grievous Angel," which many interpret as adding a personal touch to the lyrics. The song reflects Parsons's longing and emotions towards a past relationship.

(Actually Gram Parsons, short for Ingram) Of course they had a professional relationship, resulting in the album "Grievous Angel". Only Emmylou knows for definite what sort of personal relationship they had. Although she was fully divorced at the time they were together, she is a Southern Lady and one could speculate that she was reluctant to 'move in' on a married man, albeit unhappily married. In one interview she claimed that, at the time of his death, she was still waiting for the right moment to tell him that she loved him. Nearly forty years later, "The Road", a track on "Hard Bargain", recently written by Emmylou, virtually admits that she loved him and speculates whether she could have saved him from his addictions. I doubt it.
Scottish singer-songwriter, probably most famous for the song Acceptable in the 80's.
