Sean Connery starred in a film called "Zardoz" (1974). It was written and directed by John Boorman. It's a film set in future Earth.
You're thinking of John Boorman's classic "Zardoz" where a bunch of "eternals" wander around a posh English estate apparently living forever and literally bored into immobility because of it. Sean Connery shows up not wearing much as a hairy-chested, pony-tailed, rifle toting "savage" who eventually wanders into a giant crystal or something then does something or other which breaks down the barrier or force field or whatever surrounding the estate and allowing his fellow savages to run in blasting away at everything that moves while the eternals run about shouting "Kill me!" and "Oh!Kill me too!" It turns out the savages have been influenced by an immortal posing as the god Zardoz which is this enormous floating stone head that vomits guns and ammo out its open mouth and booms out immortal lines like "The gun is good! The penis is evil! The penis shoots life! The gun shoots death! Zardoz has spoken!" (Which I used to shout out when I got drunk back in the day).
