Best Answer

Approximately 450 million years ago, there was significant volcanism which formed what are now the mountains of the Lake District in North Western England. This is known as the Borrowdale volcanic group.

The most recent volcanism in England occurred in the early Paleogene around 50 to 54 million years ago. During this period the volcanic Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel was formed.

What happend to England because of the volcano in England?

There have not been any volcanoes in England for 300 million years, a few evidences of them remain (e.g. Arthur's seat in Edinburgh). I think you mean the volcano in Iceland. Recently, a volcano in Iceland erupted and the ash fumes passed over much of Western Europe. As a result, large number of flights had to be called off for about two months. This certainly affected the aviation industry, as London and Paris are important hubs for international flights.
