Antifreeze is not made out of any part of the pig. Antifreeze is a combination of chemicals used to keep your engine's liquids from freezing. It works by lowering the freezing point of liquids.
DuPont made the first fireproof suit in 1960 and it was available on the market in 1967.
The color of the antifreeze is made that way and no dye is available. There is no reason to color it afterwards. The reason for the different colors these days is because they have made it with different properties to match specific engine manufactuerers needs. Newer engines now take pink or red for example due to blocks and cyl heads being made from different metals and they are also trying to prevent engine failures due to the way earlier coolants had on engine parts. Mixing colors isn't a good idea but that's still up for debate by many people.Go with what the owners manual states.
