Felt is a kind of textile that is obtained through the compression and condensing of several fibers, either natural or synthetic. There are many legends regarding the first time it was created. A Sumerian legend claims it was first made by a their legendary warrior Urnamman, whereas another tale tells us about two Christian saints, Saint Clement and Saint Christopher, who created this fabric by accident, by filling their sandals with wool before an occasion they had to run a lot to scape prosecution. According to this tale, the pressure on the fabric created the first pieces of felt.
