The type of magma that is produced by Mount Bromo is felsic. In addition, it has high levels of silica and low levels of mafic magma.
Mt. Bromo is an active volcano located in East Java, Indonesia. It has erupted several times in recent years, but none of the eruptions have been particularly destructive. In 2010 and 2011 the volcano produced ash clouds that interfered with normal life and caused health problems such as asthma for people living nearby. The 2004 eruption killed two people when they were hit by flying rocks.
