We currently use the Gregorian Calendar, so New Year's day is January 1. The Gregorian Calendar has been modified over the last 400 years, more than once. Perhaps you intended to ask when New Year's day fell on the Julian Calendar?

Just one day is new years day. In the Gregorian calendar that is 1st January.
Ummm.... in your calendar in any calendar it shows you that new years eve is December 31. At 12:00 AM January 1 is when the ball drops to represent New Years. This year it was new years eve December 31 ,2010 and was new years day January 1 ,2011
January 26 but only for 2009 because the day varies because of the lunar calendar
If you are referring to the Julian Calendar, the New Year begins January 1st. It is sometimes called New Years Day.
