Unfortunately, it was banned in several schools because one student's grandmother complained that the stories featured murder, death, and cannibalism, among other things.

It's some horror stories wich should be very scary, it even got banned in Italy! I haven't read the stories myself tho. I've read on other forums that they shouldn't be scary, unless you believe in the devil or something. Hope it helped.

Of course Ashely Tisdale like scary stories
its how the author/teller wants to do it
It wuznt banned. I have seen it in the library of every school that i have been to. While the previous person may have seen Scary Stories in their local library, others may not be able to. Depending upon the library and district, this book is often pulled from circulation because it is seen as too scary or as one complaint in Michigan stated "too disgusting" for children to read. To find out why the book Scary Stories is no longer available, you need to politely ask the librarian. She/he may be able to tell you why. Remember, the librarian was not responsible for this so be polite. But it is likely because the district school board had to because of complaints.
scary for kids
