From the time of Adam religion has been on the earth. Adam preached religion to his family for he was at sundry times visited by angels. He also had the gift of the Holy Spirit bestowed upon him and received much revelation regarding the word of God. As such Adam was a prophet. Whenever a prophet speaks in the name of God then his words are scripture. but only when acting in the role of a prophet.
