The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) was founded by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner, who is credited with chartering the first chapter in 1940 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Dr. Forkner's vision was to create a national organization for students interested in business and leadership, which has since grown into a prominent association across the United States.
