no, not really
As a member of the US Army Rangers, you fight the Russian Army. As a British SAS Soldier, you fight the OpFor and South American Militia Forces. The SAS and Army Rangers main goal is to kill Makarov.
One of a body of Turkish infantry, who constituted the Sultan's guard and the bulk of the standing army
Persons in the Army are called Soldiers. there is the USMC and the SAS and although the have them names altogether, they're call solders.

No. Not unless you become a UK citizen, as required by every other post in the British Army.
While the U.S. Marine Corps is much harder to be accepted into than the U.S. Army; it is a completely separate branch of the military. The SAS are trained specifically for Special Operations, while the USMC has several specialist branches within it (i.e. there are USMC fighter pilots, while the SAS only has infantry personnel) Therefore, to compare the whole USMC to the Elite Special Forces of the British Army is rather unreasonable. While the USMC basic training lasts 12 weeks; just to nominate for SAS selection, candidates need to have passed the 14 week basic training for the British Army. SAS candidates must undertake a selection process of 19 weeks that tests their teamwork and fieldcraft knowledge. Therefore, in terms of training and skill, SAS is much better equipped than the USMC. Once again, to compare SAS and USMC is unreasonable, as the SAS is a select special forces element much like the Navy SEALS. Hope this helps :)
both army's are good when you look at there special forces the sas (British) and the spetsnaz (Russia) they always seem to appear in top ten special forces lists but the sas normally come up as better the the spetsnaz in the Crimean war Britain won but this was in the 1853-1856 they are both very good army's all together but in my personal opinion Britain is has the better army and a lot of the facts back this up
An SAS bodyguard is a bodyguard who is serving or who has served in the British Special Air Service - the principle special forces of the British Army. The SAS are trained in close protection (Or in being a highly trained bodyguard). There is a crude video showing basic SAS bodyguard techniques - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMN1aVMhD_I&feature=PlayList&p=48F0CD95D5D2062D&index=30
