In 1913 Edison compiled 19 talking films, however projectionists were not appropriately trained and often sound and image were out of synch, resulting in audience dissatisfaction.
The first successful synchronous film was Warner Brothers 'Don Jaun' 1926, consisting of a music score and sound effects.
Warner Brothers 'The Jazz Singer' 1927 was the first synchronous film with dialogue.
The first feature length movie with sound included is generally acknowledged to be "The Jazz Singer" with Al Jolson, released in 1927 although there were short novelty films with sound prior to that (in fact, Jolson made one in 1926, "A Plantation Act". It has not survived.)
The first sound movie was shown in the late 1920s.
The Jazz Singer
1929 ---- That's incorrect. "The Jazz Singer" (1927) had sound. It was the first feature length film with sound dialog. There may be earlier films with sound that I'm not aware of.
The first full length movie with sound was "The jazz singer", released in 1927.

The Jazz Singer - 1927
One of the very first movies with sound was "The Jazz Singer" with Al Jolson, although it is clear that prior to the commercial production, that many efforts at sound and film had been attempted. The first Western movie with sound is a bit more problematical. First, figuring out what is a Western Movie is a problem, and then figuring out what sound is and when it counts is a problem. The American Dramatic Arts Alliance might have someone with a specific answer to the question.
"A Trip to the Moon" (1902). Made by Geroges Melies.
The first motion picture ever made was "The Horse In Motion" (1878) by Thomas Edison.
