Today, the Standford-Binet is the most used IQ test in the U.S. It involves tasks such as following commands, copying patterns, putting things in order or arranging them properly. At least in Wisconsin, an IQ test is given to students who're suspected of needing special education. It is used (along with other data) to make judgements about a student's general intellectual functioning.
