Mummers Parade. I do not know please tell me!
A mummers play is a play performed by the mummers in the medieval times.
Someone who spoke softly murmured. If you were in the Mummers Parade, you might have "mummered", but I've never heard this used in any other context.
starts in South Philadelphia, proceeds north on Broad Street, goes around city hall. Some Clubs have headquarters on Second Street in South Philly and may parade there after the main parade Catherine Weeda
You can write a mummers play by using some of shake spears line!
Muppets is believed to be a contraction of Mummers ( see Philadelphia lore for the Mummers Parade)- an Puppets. a Moppet is a small child- and also a style of haircut- similar to the early Beatles. May be derived from Mop-Head condensed into a word- mainly British usage. I have heard of a Moppet hair cut- like the Beatles.
