The Third Pyramid being the last of the three great pyramids built at Giza
that's the last of the ancient world wonders. theyll keep it up.
Because it is now situated near to the city of Giza, Really when it was called Giza, it was not a city, it was the end o of crossing the desert to arrive Nile valley, then crossing the last 10 chilometers from pyramids to arrive tha Nile itself then crossing it to go to Cairo city, or Fustat or Qataii cities who were the first arabic capitals of Egypt before building Cairo ( now they are small area of Cairo today ) At that time it was no city called Giza, Giza means cross, crossing the street, cross anything to arrive to other, zso pyramids were a sign to Arab travellers that they will cross the last area of their long travel and will arrive to the city.

The construction of the pyramids in Egypt primarily took place during the Old Kingdom period, around 2580 to 2560 BCE for the Great Pyramid of Giza. Other significant pyramids were built during this time, with the last of the major pyramids constructed around 1700 BCE. These monumental structures served as tombs for pharaohs and were part of a broader trend of monumental architecture in ancient Egypt.
Actually, in the last few years, only 3 have been found. Ummm.... lets say 2 in the last two years ;)
The last remaining member of the Seven Wonder of the World is the Great Pyramid in Egypt. The pyramid is part of a complex featuring other small pyramids and the great sphinx in Giza.
There are three pyramids in Giza~The Pyramid of Menkaura: 213 feet tallThe Pyramid of Khaefra: 471 feet tallThe "Great" Pyramid of Khufu: 481 feet tallThe "Great" Pyramid of Khufu is the tallest pyramid in Giza and throughout Egypt. Last year I visited all these sites with the help of Complete Egypt. It is a very famous local travel agency in Egypt.
Most of the bocks for the Giza group of pyramids were quarried locally which saved an awful lot of labour. Granite was also used this had to be brought 430 miles down river from quarries located at Aswan. The white stone used to case the pyramids was quarried at a place called Tura just across the river from Giza.
