I believe it is safe to say most rivers have flooded at one time or another.

Yes, it does flood from time to time. According to Wikipedia, it flooded so bad once in 1956, that the water was up for six full months.Correction:There is no such river as the Murray Darling. The Murray River floods, and the Darling Riverfloods. All rivers in Australia flood from time to time.
The Tigris and the Euphrates river both flooded unpredictably unlike the Nile river in Egypt that flooded at the same time every year leaving the people to prepare and move before the flood hit.
Henry Hudson was on an exploration mission to find a shortcut to the riches of the Far East. He sailed up what is now the Hudson River, as he believed he was on the right track. He soon came to the almost end of the river which was narrow. This ended his time on that river, which is named after him. Hudson explored the river in 1609.
It took him almost from 1609 to 1628 was about the time.
I, sadly, am not Henry Hudson. I love to explore, but my parents did not name me Henry, and my last name is not Hudson.
In the spring time. It flooded then because in the spring all the snow from the mountsins melted, and it flooded the river as it fell downstream. It does flood from south to north because the souther side is higher than the norther side.
