The 2008 Ford F150 doesn't have a vent window. They do come with a Vent visor so that you can roll your window down a little bit without being in the elements, a replacement will cost you about $50.
On a 2004 Ford Expedition : In the overhead console there is a button marked " VENT " ( that is used to open and close the power rear side windows )

I was looking at the 2004 Ford Freestar Owner Guide and it shows that the SINGLE switch for the power vent windows is located on the dash ( but not where on the dash , not much help ! ) The switch has " VENT " on it
I believe 1967 for Chevy cars and 1972 for Chevy trucks.
There is a very small leak in the heater core that is collecting in the vent system and is evaporating out when you turn the heater on. The smell is from the antifreeze in the water.
1998 Chevrolet Blazer did not have vent windows.
The transmission vent on a 2001 Ford Taurus is found on the engine. It is on the driver's side of the engine.
